What we do
When we receive a valid notice, we act quickly to remove or disable access to the material and tell the account holder. We may share a copy of the notice with the account holder.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent with your signature, a description of the removed material and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where we can be found). If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. An account that receives valid notices on more than one occasion may be closed.
False claims
Knowingly sending a false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages and legal costs.
